abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film for a polarizing plate that causes little deterioration over time of ultraviolet absorption ability and infrared absorption ability even when a liquid crystal display device (LCD) continues to be used for a long period of time and does not cause deterioration in visibility of the LCD. Optical film is provided. An optical film comprising a resin film containing an ultraviolet absorber and an infrared absorber, wherein a first region containing an ultraviolet absorber is provided on one surface side of the film, and the other surface side of the film is provided. A second region containing an infrared absorber is provided, and a third region containing both the ultraviolet absorber and the infrared absorber is provided between these two regions. The ultraviolet absorber is contained within the range of 3% to 70% of the total film thickness from one surface side of the film, and the infrared absorber is from the other surface side of the film to the total film thickness. It is preferable that it is contained within a thickness range of 3% to 70%. [Selection figure] None |
