titleOfInvention Polyethylene terephthalate and method for producing the same
abstract Disclosed is a polyethylene terephthalate produced by polycondensation in the presence of an aluminum compound and having high transparency. Polyethylene terephthalate produced by polycondensation of terephthalic acid or an ester-forming derivative thereof and ethylene glycol or an ester-forming derivative thereof in the presence of an aluminum catalyst, the following (a), ( A polyester resin characterized by satisfying b) and (c). (A) 3 ≦ aluminum content (ppm) ≦ 30 (B) 10 ≦ [COOH] (equivalent / ton) ≦ 27 (C) IV ≧ 0.70 (dl / g) ([COOH] represents the amount of carboxyl groups in polyethylene terephthalate, and IV represents the intrinsic viscosity measured at 25 ° C. in a tetrachloroethane / phenol mixed solvent (1/1 by weight)).
