abstract |
Provided is a technique for confirming β-sheet type keratin in skin horny layer cells and estimating the existence ratio with high quantitativeness for more accurate skin differentiation. A method for distinguishing skin, in which stratum corneum cells collected from the skin are stained with Congo Red (Direct First Scarlet), and β-sheet type keratin in the stained stratum corneum cells is observed under a polarizing microscope. Thus, the present invention relates to a method for distinguishing skin such as skin softness by estimating the presence ratio of β-sheet type keratin with high quantitativeness.
