titleOfInvention | Method for producing high purity terephthalic acid |
abstract | [Problem] To provide a method for producing high-purity terephthalic acid which uses steam generated by pressure reduction in a crystallization process more effectively and has excellent energy recovery efficiency. (I) A step of making crude terephthalic acid by slurrying by liquid phase oxidation of para-xylene into a slurry, (II) a step of heating the slurry stepwise in a plurality of heat exchangers to form a crude terephthalic acid aqueous solution, III) Step of hydrogenation treatment of the aqueous solution, (IV) Step of cooling the obtained aqueous solution stepwise in a plurality of crystallization tanks to crystallize terephthalic acid, and (V) Solid slurry of the obtained slurry A method for producing high-purity terephthalic acid including a step of separating, wherein step (II) introduces steam generated in step (IV) into a heat exchanger and heats the slurry; and in step (IV) At least one step of heating the crude terephthalic acid slurry by introducing a high-temperature fluid containing generated steam and a condensate generated in a heat exchanger into which steam at a higher temperature and pressure is introduced than the steam into the heat exchanger; .
