Since a photoacoustic signal is detected on a circumference having a certain distance, the sound pressure of the photoacoustic signal reaching an ultrasonic detection unit is small, and a conventional biological imaging apparatus has a photoacoustic signal detection accuracy. There is a problem that decreases. A component concentration measuring apparatus includes a resonator that resonates with a photoacoustic signal emitted from a subject and an ellipsoidal reflecting portion that reflects the photoacoustic signal emitted from the subject. The component concentration measuring apparatus fills a container with a liquid having an acoustic impedance substantially equal to that of the subject, and the radius of the resonator is an integral multiple of a half wavelength of a photoacoustic signal propagating in the liquid.
