A lithographic printing plate precursor capable of forming an image without alkali development after imagewise exposure with a laser beam, having excellent fine line reproducibility with a practical exposure energy amount while maintaining good developability. Provided are a lithographic printing plate precursor having a high printing durability and a lithographic printing method. A lithographic printing plate precursor having a laser light sensitive polymerized layer on a hydrophilic support and capable of forming an image without alkali development, wherein the polymer has at least one amino acid group in the polymerized layer. A lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a compound and a lithographic printing method comprising on-press development of the lithographic printing plate precursor.
