abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing an individual, a species, a habitat, etc., which uses a nucleic acid sequence and is much more reliable than the prior art. A method for inspecting whether or not a target nucleic acid contains a target sequence, wherein a simple test is first performed on the sample nucleic acid and it is determined that the target sequence is included. If it is determined that the nucleic acid is not contained, the nucleic acid test method is characterized in that a precise test is performed on the same sample nucleic acid, and whether or not the target nucleic acid contains a predetermined amount or more in the sample nucleic acid. A method of testing, in which a simple quantitative test is first performed on a sample nucleic acid, and if it is determined that the target sequence contains a specified amount or more, a precise test is performed on the same sample nucleic acid.
