abstract |
A method of manufacturing an optical filter with a good ground electrode portion and an optical filter excellent in productivity are provided. A metal conductive layer 13 is formed on the entire surface of a rectangular transparent substrate 12, a functional layer 16 is formed on the entire surface of the formed rectangular metal conductive layer 13, and then the formed rectangular composite is formed. The functional layer 16 containing resin is irradiated with a laser along the edge of all four sides or in the vicinity of the edge to remove the functional layer 16 at the irradiated portion, and conductive around the rectangular functional layer 16. A method for producing an optical filter for a display, comprising the step of exposing a frame-like region of the layer 13 and having a conductive layer 13 protruding to the periphery as an electrode portion; and an optical filter advantageously obtained by this method.
