abstract | The present invention provides an optical compensation film capable of obtaining an image with high display quality without causing unevenness, and particularly has an excellent optical compensation function for an OCB-type liquid crystal display device having a fast response speed and suitability for moving images. To provide a method capable of stably and continuously producing an optical compensation film, and to provide a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the optical compensation film. SOLUTION: An optically anisotropic layer is provided on a transparent support, and a liquid crystalline compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and two or more kinds of cellulose esters having a specific solution viscosity difference are provided on the optically anisotropic layer. An optical compensation film containing a combination of specific quantitative ratios, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the optical compensation film.
