abstract A scintillation removing apparatus capable of effectively removing scintillation with a configuration suitable for practical use, and a projector including the scintillation removing apparatus. SOLUTION: A diffusion unit 23 that diffuses light by transmission or reflection, a vibration generation unit 34 that generates vibration using a piezoelectric element, and a support unit 32 that supports the diffusion unit 23 in a oscillating state.
