titleOfInvention Steam-treated chitosan molded body and method for producing the same
abstract A chitosan-based molded article having water resistance and a production method capable of being processed efficiently and continuously are provided. In the production of a chitosan-based molded article by a drying method, the molded article during the drying process or after the drying process is continuously subjected to steam treatment for a short time to promote the volatilization of the volatile organic acid used for dissolving the chitosan. A chitosan-based molded article having good water resistance and a method for producing the same. By incorporating a steam treatment step into the chitosan-based molded body manufacturing process, it is possible to continuously remove volatile organic acids, and to efficiently impart water resistance to the chitosan-based molded body. Moreover, since it is not restricted by the field | area which uses a molded object, and it is also low-cost, the application as a wide functional material can be anticipated from the chitosan type molded object obtained.
