PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing a thin film even on a substrate having a minute and complicated shape. A method of performing molten salt electrolysis using a substrate having at least one selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co, and Ni as a cathode in an electrolytic bath containing at least one selected from the group consisting of actinoids and rare earths. Or AB, AB 2 , AB 3 , AB 5 , A 2 B 7 , A 2 B 17 , A 3 B, A 4 B 13 and A 5 B 23 (wherein A is the same or different, A method of performing molten salt electrolysis in an electrolytic bath containing at least one selected from the group consisting of actinides or rare earths and B being the same or different and Fe, Co or Ni.
