abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane resin emulsion excellent in both hardness and solvent resistance of a dry film of the emulsion. A polyurethane resin emulsion comprising a polyurethane resin and an aqueous dispersion medium and satisfying the following (1) to (4). (1): Polyurethane is a urethane prepolymer in which at least a part of the terminal is an isocyanate group. (2): The prepolymer contains, as polyol components, an alkylene oxide adduct (a) of a hydroxyl group-containing aromatic compound and an alkylene oxide adduct (b) of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol. (3): (a) has a number average molecular weight of 300 to 1,000, and (b) has a number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 3,000. (4): The polyurethane resin contains 5 to 20% by weight of a residue obtained by removing the hydroxyl group from the hydroxyl group-containing aromatic compound based on the weight of the resin.
