abstract |
Copy detection patterns are created to detect copy relationships between digital representations. A message is included in the copy detection pattern without changing the entropy of the copy detection pattern, and the message is read. The copy detection pattern on the analog form is used to determine whether the analog form is the original analog form The copy detection sensitivity using the copy detection pattern is determined without referring to the original digital representation of the analog copy detection pattern, and the result of the copy process is modified for one of the two copy detection patterns being compared. Enhancing by incorporating the resulting modifications, distributing the copy detection pattern throughout the document, and locating the copy detection pattern using the entropy of the copy detection pattern.
