abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize various memory functions with one semiconductor memory and reduce the development cost of the semiconductor memory. A semiconductor memory includes a field programmable unit in which logic for mutually converting an external signal input to and output from a memory system and an internal signal input to and output from a memory cell array is programmed. A program for configuring the logic of the field programmable unit is stored in a nonvolatile program storage unit. The controller can access the memory cell array even when the interface of the controller accessing the semiconductor memory is different from the interface for accessing the memory cell array by the field programmable unit. For this reason, one type of semiconductor memory can be used as a plurality of types of semiconductor memories. As a result, it is not necessary to develop a plurality of types of semiconductor memories, and the development cost can be reduced. [Selection] Figure 1 |
