abstract | A color filter having a wide color reproduction range, high transmittance, excellent light resistance and heat resistance, and a method for producing the same are provided. A method of manufacturing a color filter having a blue pixel with chromaticity x ≦ 0.15 and y ≦ 0.12 when a C light source is used, wherein the blue pixel uses a blue pigment as a good solvent. After preparing a pigment solution by dissolving, at least organic nanoparticles formed by mixing the pigment solution in a solvent that is compatible with the good solvent and that is a poor solvent for the blue pigment.
