abstract Provided is a method for measuring phosphorus concentration with high sensitivity and wide application range without using a special analyzer or instrument. A quaternary ammonium salt is added to a sample colored by a molybdenum blue method to form an ion aggregate. This is supplied to a high performance liquid chromatography column to capture and concentrate the ion aggregates. Further, ion aggregates are separated and eluted from the column, and quantified with a normal analyzer such as a UV-visible light absorptiometer or ICP-MS. The problem is solved by bringing these operations online.
