abstract Disclosed are an irregular polymer fine particle having a depression on the surface, and a method for easily producing such a fine particle. A first step of dispersing nonpolar solvent droplets and polymer fine particles incompatible with a polar solvent in a polar solvent, and a step of forming a depression on the surface of the polymer fine particles by stirring the dispersion. Provided is a method for producing an irregular polymer fine particle. The fine polymer particles obtained by this method have one or more depressions on the surface. [Selection] Figure 1
