abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polarizing plate with an optical compensation layer that does not deteriorate the optical compensation layer and is excellent in adhesion between a polarizer protective film and a polarizer. The method for producing a polarizing plate with an optical compensation layer of the present invention comprises a step of laminating an optical compensation layer on one side of a polarizer protective film via a photocurable adhesive layer, and the polarizer protective film. Irradiating with ultraviolet rays from the other side of the polarizer with a metal halide lamp or an ultrahigh pressure mercury lamp, and laminating a polarizer on the side of the polarizer protective film where the optical compensation layer is not formed.
