abstract A lightweight, highly diffusive optical thin film sheet for use in a flat panel liquid crystal display is provided. An optical thin film sheet includes a support and a light diffusing layer formed on at least one surface of the support, and the light diffusing layer diffuses light on a light incident surface, an emitting surface, or both surfaces of the support. The concavo-convex structure is formed so as to function as a layer. The concavo-convex structure can be formed by screen printing, spraying or embossing, but a more preferable method is a method in which a resin coating layer having a concavo-convex structure is applied to the support surface.
