abstract | An arbitrary color of an image signal can be converted into a desired arbitrary color according to the characteristics of the display device and the user's preference. A microcomputer 27 sets a target region for color conversion and a desired purpose x and purpose y after conversion based on a user's operation, and obtains a D coefficient value accordingly. The region value calculation unit 21 obtains a region value k representing the distance from the center of the target region with respect to the input image signal. The matrix generation unit 22 generates a 3 × 3 matrix based on the region value k from the region value calculation unit 21 and the D coefficient value from the microcomputer 27. The matrix calculation unit 23 performs color conversion by calculating an input image signal and a 3 × 3 matrix. The present invention can be applied to a television receiver that performs color conversion of an image signal. [Selection] Figure 2 |
