abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a highly reliable electric double layer capacitor in which performance deterioration of the electric double layer capacitor is reduced and generation of a strong alkali component on the negative electrode side is reduced. A non-aqueous electrolyte solution impregnated in a polarizable electrode and a non-aqueous electrolyte solution impregnated in the polarizable electrode, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte solution includes two or more solvents and an electrolyte made of an amidine salt or a pyrrolidinium salt. The relative permittivity ε of the two or more solvents is in the range of 10 to 35 when expressed by the following formula (1), and the relative permittivity of at least one solvent is 10 or less.
