abstract | A lightweight thermoplastic resin composition having high strength and a method for producing the same are provided. SOLUTION: A hollow glass sphere (A) of 80 μm or less having a silane coupling agent and a reinforcing fiber (B) having a predetermined functional group on the surface are atoms of the longest atomic chain existing between two epoxy groups. Scattered in one or more types of thermoplastic resin (C) via an aliphatic compound having a number of 20 or more, or an aromatic compound (D) having 6 or more atoms between the epoxy group and the aromatic ring. It is a thermoplastic resin composition. The component (A) is coated with the component (D), and the resin pellet obtained by kneading and granulating the component (C) with an extruder is coated with the component (D), and the component (B) is pelleted. Dry blending is performed with the long fiber reinforced fiber pellets, and the resulting compound is molded with an injection molding machine to produce a thermoplastic resin composition.
