titleOfInvention | New surface display anchor |
abstract | 【Task】 Surface display anchors are important in surface display engineering, and anchors such as α-agglutinin and Flo1 have been developed at present. Since a better anchor is required, it was an object to develop a new surface-presented anchor. [Solution] The present inventors paid attention to the YIL169C gene of yeast and cloned this gene. As a result, it was found that the sequence was actually different from the published sequence. The protein encoded by the newly found sequence had a function as a surface display anchor. Furthermore, it was possible to create a more compact surface-presenting anchor by deleting the N-terminus of this sequence. This surface layer display anchor is superior to the conventional one in that a larger target protein can be surface displayed. [Selection figure] None |
