abstract |
A lithium ion secondary battery capable of sufficiently suppressing heat generation during a nail penetration test is provided. A negative electrode 130, a positive electrode 140, and a separator 40 provided between the negative electrode 130 and the positive electrode 140 are provided. The negative electrode 130 and the positive electrode 140 are on the current collectors 15 and 16 and the current collectors 15 and 16, respectively. When the piercing strength of the separator 40 is Ts and the piercing strength of at least one of the current collectors 15 or 16 of the negative electrode 130 and the positive electrode 140 is Tc, Ts ≧ 4Tc is satisfied. .
