titleOfInvention | Fixing apparatus and image forming apparatus |
abstract | A fixing device capable of firmly fixing toner particles to a recording medium and an image forming apparatus including such a fixing device are provided. A fixing device F40 for fixing a toner image formed on a recording medium F5 using a liquid developer in which toner particles are dispersed in an insulating liquid onto the recording medium, the fixing device F40 on the recording medium A heat fixing roller F1 for applying heat to the toner image formed on the toner image; and an ultraviolet irradiation means F8 for irradiating the recording medium that has passed through the heat fixing roller with ultraviolet rays. The liquid is mainly composed of semi-drying oil, and is applied to a liquid developer using a polyester resin as a resin material constituting the toner particles. The heat applied by the heat fixing roller is not less than the softening point of the resin component constituting the toner particles. [Selection] Figure 1 |
