titleOfInvention | Particles for display media and information display panels |
abstract | Disclosed are a display medium particle exhibiting good drivability as particles constituting a display medium such as a powder fluid, and an information display panel using the same. A display medium having optical reflectivity and chargeability is enclosed between two substrates, at least one of which is transparent, and an electric field is applied to the display medium, whereby the display medium is moved and information such as an image is displayed. The particles constituting the display medium used for the information display panel for displaying the image are randomly selected from 100 or more n particles from the image of the sufficiently dispersed particle sample, and SPi is selected for these particles. After obtaining, SP = (1 / n) * ΣSPi (i = 1 to n, n ≧ 100) is obtained, and this is used as the particle shape parameter SP, and SP is 1.0 ≦ SP <1.4. An information display panel that uses particles for display media that are in range. [Selection] Figure 4 |
