abstract Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of satisfactorily cleaning a toner by using a cleaning blade even when a spherical toner obtained by polymerization is used as the toner. A drum cleaning device comprising: a process unit having a drum cleaning device 3K for removing photoreceptor 2K and transfer residual toner on the surface thereof; and a transfer unit for transferring a toner image on the photoreceptor 2K to an intermediate transfer belt. 3K, in an image forming apparatus that uses a plate-like cleaning blade 303K that contacts the surface of the photoreceptor 2K to scrape the toner on the surface of the photoreceptor 2K, the photoreceptor 2K is measured by an Euler belt friction coefficient measurement method. A blade having a static friction coefficient measurement result of 0.5 or more was used, and a cleaning blade 303K having a friction coefficient of 1.0 to 2.0 with a polytetrafluoroethylene tape was used.
