titleOfInvention | Cleaning device and image forming apparatus |
abstract | The present invention relates to a cleaning device for removing residues such as residual toner, and an image forming apparatus provided with the cleaning device, which are employed in electrophotographic systems such as copying machines, facsimiles, and printers, and are present on the surface of an image carrier. Both the discharge product and the residual toner are reliably removed from the surface. Two rolls for polishing the surface 11a of the image carrier 11 by rotating with the peripheral surfaces 151a and 152a in contact with the surface 11a after the toner image is transferred to the transfer surface 30. 151, 152, and one of the two rolls 151, 152 has a particle diameter of 5 μm or more and 150 μm or less dispersed on the circumferential surface. The other roll 152 of 152 is one in which particles having a particle size of 5 nm or more and less than 30 nm are dispersedly arranged on the circumferential surface. [Selection] Figure 2 |
