abstract A catalytic converter 6 is prevented from being clogged in an exhaust purification device 5 for purifying exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine. An exhaust emission control device 5 is provided with a catalytic converter 6 interposed in an exhaust gas flow path, and is rotatably disposed on the exhaust gas introduction portion 6a side of the catalytic converter 6 and rubs the exhaust gas introduction portion 6a. And a rotating brush 7 for cleaning. By rotating the rotating brush 7 and scrubbing and cleaning the exhaust gas introducing portion 6a with the brush 13, the adhering matter adhering to the exhaust gas introducing portion 6a can be removed, so that the accumulation of the adhering matter is prevented.
