The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition that reduces catalyst poisoning while maintaining wear suppression. A lubricating oil composition comprising: (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity, (b) a mixture of an overbased potassium detergent and an overbased calcium detergent, (c) an antioxidant, ( d) succinimide derivative dispersant and (e) anti-wear additive [wherein the lubricating oil composition does not contain more than 0.12% by weight of phosphorus and the lubricating oil composition does not contain dialkylcarboxylate. Or (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity, (b) a mixture of an overbased potassium monoalkylcarboxylate and an overbased calcium alkylaryl sulfonate, (c) an amine-containing antioxidant, (d) an ethylene carbonate-treated succinate Acid imide dispersant and (e) phosphorus-containing antiwear additive [provided that the lubricating oil composition contains no more than 0.1% by weight potassium and more than 0.12% by weight phosphorus. Not, and the lubricating oil composition does not contain a di-alkyl carboxylate. [Selection figure] None |
