The present invention provides an ink composition for ink jet recording comprising a self-dispersing pigment and two resin particles having a glass transition point (Tg) of less than 0 ° C. Provided is an ink composition for ink-jet recording comprising two kinds of resin particles as a solid content in total of 10% by weight or more, wherein both of the two kinds of resin particles have an OH group in the molecule and have the same skeleton.
