An object of the present invention is to provide a method of manufacturing a high-pressure discharge lamp capable of preventing a color temperature from changing significantly during its lifetime and obtaining good color characteristics. . The present invention is a method of manufacturing an electrode body 19 having an electrode pin 23, an electrode coil 24 attached to an end of the electrode pin 23, and a coil 25 fitted into the electrode pin 23.
