titleOfInvention Wavelength conversion device and laser apparatus
abstract A wavelength conversion laser using a quasi phase matching (QPM) based on a periodically poled structure has been studied as a small-sized device that generates visible light with high efficiency and high output by wavelength conversion. On the other hand, a bulk-type polarization inversion element has been studied aiming at wavelength conversion with higher output. The optical systems of these wavelength conversion lasers have a simple structure, but the device size tends to be large due to a temperature control element for controlling the temperature of the wavelength conversion element. A parallel incident light beam Li having a wavelength λ1 from a laser light source passes through a first lens 1 and is folded back by a mirror 15 to be converged on a central portion of a wavelength conversion element 3. The light beam that has undergone wavelength conversion exits the wavelength conversion element 3, is then folded back by the mirror 16, becomes a parallel light beam again by the second lens 2, and has the same unconverted wavelength λ 1 as the incident light beam by the wavelength separation filter 17. The light beam Lo is reflected, and the converted light beam Lo ′ having the wavelength λ2 is transmitted. [Selection] Figure 5
