abstract A fixing plate assembly capable of fixing a fixed angle screw or a variable angle screw to one plate and a fixing assembly capable of fixing one or more bone screws to the plate are provided. That is. A plate device includes an elongated plate and a number of bone screws. The bone screw 32 is held on the plate 31 by a plurality of fixing screw assemblies 33. The elongated plate 31 includes screw holes 34 of various configurations. The plate is also divided into vertebral level nodes 35 to give the side of the plate a tortuous appearance. In particular, the plate 31 has a groove between each of the nodes 35 to reduce the profile and dimensions of the plate. Further, the reduced width portion between each of the nodes 35 provides an area of reduced material so that the plate can be bent further as required by the spinal anatomy. [Selection] Figure 1
