titleOfInvention | Influenza virus genome replication and transcription system using yeast cells |
abstract | To date, it has not been confirmed that a minus-strand RNA virus genome is introduced into a yeast cell and that the genome replicates in the yeast cell. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The present inventor has succeeded in causing transcription and replication reaction from a viral RNA genome in yeast by introducing vRNP purified from influenza virus particles into yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). If viral genome replication, viral gene transcription, and viral protein expression are possible in yeast cells that have abundant genetic information, influenza virus infection, its growth in the host, and specificity related to pathogenicity Specific host cell factors can be identified. Therefore, the present invention can provide tools and techniques essential for the development of anti-influenza virus agents. [Selection figure] None |
