titleOfInvention Optical gate filter, optical integrated circuit, and pulse laser device
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of reflection without using an optical isolator, and to contribute to stable operation of an active optical device that operates in pulses and a light control element using the active optical device. An optical waveguide portion for guiding light, and inserted in at least three locations along the length direction of the optical waveguide portion, and having a predetermined range of wavelength, optical pulse width, optical pulse energy, and optical pulse slot. An optical gate filter 31 having an optical waveguide structure that includes a saturable absorption region 32 in which absorption is saturated by a signal light pulse having a period, transmits signal light, and suppresses transmission of weak noise light. Three saturable regions in which the pulse transit time between the two saturable absorption regions 32 is set longer than the time in which the absorption in one saturable absorption region 32 is saturated due to the passage of one signal light pulse, and are arranged in order. The time for the signal light pulse to propagate through the absorption region 32 is set to be shorter than the optical pulse slot period. [Selection] Figure 7
