titleOfInvention | Copolymer containing azo functional group |
abstract | An optical material capable of adjusting the rate of change of refractive index according to light irradiation conditions is provided. SOLUTION: (A) a methacrylic acid monomer containing an azo functional group whose refractive index changes upon irradiation with ultraviolet light; and (B) a methacrylic acid monomer containing an azo functional group whose refractive index changes upon irradiation with light having a wavelength of 532 nm; A copolymer obtained by copolymerization. As a specific example of (A), 2- (4- (4-methoxyphenylazo) phenoxy) ethyl methacrylic acid or 2- (4-phenylazo) phenoxyethyl methacrylic acid is preferable. Moreover, as a specific example of (B), 2-((4- (4-cyanophenylazo) phenyl) methylamino) ethyl methacrylic acid is preferable. [Selection figure] None |
