abstract | There is provided a see-through type double-sided display timepiece which can display both front and back according to user's preference and has fashionability. A timepiece of the present invention encloses a display medium between two transparent substrates facing each other and applies an electric field to the display medium, thereby moving the display medium to display information such as an image. By using the information display panel for the display unit 12, information is displayed on the front and back surfaces of the display unit. As the display medium, it is preferable to use a display medium having two colors of light and dark and different charging characteristics. Further, it is preferable to perform non-transparent coloring on the clock frame portion 13 which is a portion of the dial and the numbers and characters which are not required to be rewritten.
