SOLUTION: A propylene-alkenyldialkylaluminum copolymer obtained by copolymerizing propylene and an alkenyldialkylaluminum compound represented by the following chemical formula (A) is reacted with a decomposition agent, and a dialkylaluminum in the copolymer is reacted. A method for producing a polar group-containing propylene-based copolymer, wherein a group is converted into a polar group corresponding to a decomposing agent. Embedded image (Wherein, R 1, R 2 is an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, n is an integer of 1-20.) The present invention provides a polar group-containing stereoregular propylene copolymer having a novel comonomer structure. It can be produced without using expensive reagents or harsh reaction conditions. As the polar group, a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, a sulfinyl group, or the like is applicable.
