abstract To provide a water-based paint for can lids excellent in paintability, a precoated aluminum alloy plate for can lids having a paint film excellent in coating performance such as corrosion resistance, and a method for producing the same. A water-based paint for forming a coating film on an aluminum alloy plate for a can lid, which is obtained by pre-coating a coating film on the surface of an aluminum alloy plate. It contains 5 to 40 parts by weight of resin, 5 to 20 parts by weight of solvent, and 40 to 90 parts by weight of water with respect to 100 parts by weight of the aqueous paint. Among the solvents, the content of the low boiling point solvent component having a boiling point of 140 ° C. or less is 2 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of the water-based paint.
