titleOfInvention | Novel seaweed glycoprotein-derived peptide and prolyl endopeptidase inhibitor |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To extract a seaweed glycoprotein from a seaweed extract and to produce a novel peptide having a prolyl endopeptidase inhibitory activity from this seaweed glycoprotein, an anti-amnesic effect in vivo, and an extremely low toxicity. provide. SOLUTION: A dry powder of seaweed (Wakame, Okinawa mozuku, arame, kombu, hijiki, hondawala, akamoku, seaweed, etc.) is extracted with a weak alkaline aqueous solution, and then fractionated with ethanol to obtain a seaweed-derived glycoprotein. Further, a novel seaweed glycoprotein-derived peptide obtained by cleaving into a sugar chain and a peptide chain and then isolated and purified by reverse phase HPLC is Ile-Lys-Pro-Gly-Val-Ile-Val-Gly-Gl-Tyr. -Val-Val-Ala-Ala-Ala is obtained.
