abstract | Provided is a low-cost, efficient, and high-yield production method of benzoyloxybenzene sulfonate, and obtains a benzoyloxybenzene sulfonate obtained by the method and a peroxygen compound. To provide a bleaching composition and a cleaning composition that are excellent in bleaching and cleaning properties even at low temperatures and low concentrations. A method for producing benzoyloxybenzenesulfonate in which phenolsulfonic acid and benzoyl chloride are mixed in the presence of an alkali, wherein the molar ratio of phenolsulfonic acid to alkali (phenolsulfonic acid: alkali) is 1: 2 to 2. A method for producing benzoyloxybenzene sulfonate characterized by being 1: 3, and a benzoyloxybenzene sulfonate obtained by the method for producing benzoyloxybenzene sulfonate and a peroxygen compound.
