abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution for medium- and high-voltage electrolytic capacitors that has improved low-temperature characteristics and an electrolytic capacitor using the same. The electrolytic solution for an electrolytic capacitor of the present invention is an electrolytic solution in which an amine salt of a polyhydric alcohol complex compound of boric acid obtained from boric acid and a polyhydric alcohol is dissolved in a solvent mainly composed of γ-butyrolactone. In addition, an organic carboxylic acid compound having 10 or less carbon atoms and / or an amine salt is added in an amount of 5 to 60 wt% of the total amount of boric acid, and has a high spark voltage and low specific resistance characteristics at a low temperature.
