The present invention provides a method for obtaining a metallic film having a brilliant and discontinuous structure at high productivity and low cost by a wet plating method with high productivity and material efficiency. A direct metallization is used in which an imide ring of a polyimide resin film is opened to introduce a carboxyl group, a metal ion is adsorbed on the carboxyl group, and the metal ion is reduced to form a metal film. A method for producing a resin product, comprising: forming a polyimide resin film 12 on a resin base material 11; introducing the carboxyl groups onto the polyimide resin film 12, adsorbing the metal ions, and reducing the metal ions. In any one or two or more of the above, the direct metallization is performed by controlling the processing condition to the insufficient side, thereby forming the metallic film 13 having the glitter and discontinuous structure.
