abstract A light-emitting device with reduced angular color difference is provided. A light emitting device includes a substrate having a recess having a depth of D1 of 0.4 to 0.8 mm on a surface, and a light emitting diode chip that is disposed in the recess and emits blue light. And a phosphor layer 70 including a yellow light-emitting phosphor 72 that is disposed on the light-emitting diode chip 50 and is excited by blue light emitted from the light-emitting diode chip 50 to emit yellow light.
