abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a staircase to which a safe and durable marker is fixed and easy to identify for a pedestrian, in particular, a visually impaired person such as an elderly person or a weakly sighted person, and a construction method thereof. SOLUTION: Grooves are formed in the full width part or a part of the width of a step nose side tread of a staircase of a building, or a step nose side tread and a lift, and the groove is made of a mixture of synthetic resin, ceramic particles, and a colorant. It depends on the structure of the staircase of the building constructed by firmly embedding a wear-resistant and non-slip marking material and containing the fluorescent material or phosphorescent agent in the marking material and its construction method.
