titleOfInvention Method of operating a contrast agent removal system
abstract A method for operating a contrast medium removal system that efficiently removes a contrast medium causing renal dysfunction is provided. A method for operating a contrast medium removal system, which comprises collecting blood from a blood collection catheter 101 placed in a coronary sinus 107 and bringing the blood into contact with a contrast medium adsorbent. During the pre-examination, it becomes possible to efficiently remove the contrast agent that causes renal dysfunction. The contrast medium removal system includes a blood collection catheter 101 placed in the coronary sinus, a column 102 filled with a contrast medium for contacting the blood, a blood collection circuit 103 for guiding blood to the column, and a blood collection pump for controlling the amount of blood collected 104, a blood return circuit 105 that returns the blood from which the contrast medium has been removed to the patient's body, and a device 106 that measures blood pressure.
