abstract Provided is a battery including a wound type electrode group, in which an electrode plate is not broken at a joint portion of a lead and a separator is damaged, thereby preventing an internal short circuit. A winding electrode group is formed by winding a laminate in which a positive electrode plate, a separator, and a negative electrode plate are stacked, and at least one of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate and an external terminal are ribbon-shaped. In the battery connected via the lead 20, the one end of the lead 20 abuts perpendicularly to the substrate of the one electrode plate, and the lead 20 and the substrate are joined at the corresponding contact surface. A linear groove 21 or slit parallel to the long side of the lead is provided in at least the contact portion of the lead 20 with the substrate. [Selection] Figure 2
