The present invention relates to a method for adjusting a pigment by kneading a composition comprising a compound represented by the following formula (I), a crystalline inorganic salt or a mixture of crystalline inorganic salts and an organic liquid. Also claimed are these pigments and their use in polymers, printing inks and color filters. The invention particularly relates to a novel pigment form of Pigment Violet 23, represented by formula (I), obtained by the above method and having higher color strength and saturation and other excellent application properties, especially in printing inks. The present invention also provides a novel form and particularly a color of Pigment Red 254, which is obtained by the above-described method and has a steep slope on the deep color side of the maximum value of the absorption spectrum, represented by Formula (II). Relates to its use in filters. [Selection figure] None |
